It’s that time of the month…
time to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
1.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I am going to NYC for work TWICE this month. I’m just a sub so I do not get scheduled there very often.
So when I do, I hope to run in Central Park,
See a Broadway show (or 2):
And even squeeze in a dinner meet-up:
2.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that when we first starting planning race-cations, everyone in the group ran a half marathon…
Each year, fewer and fewer complete the distance.
In fact, this year I was the ONLY one to run the half marathon.
3.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that next year our group will be even smaller. For various reasons only THREE out the ten are able to go.
4.Over coffee…
I’ve already started my search for a fall half marathon in the NE:
-
- Surftown Half Marathon & 5k (Westerly , RI) – Sept 12, 2027
- Apple Harvest Ramble Half Marathon and 5K – (Harvard, MA) – Sept 26, 2027.
- PortRun Half Marathon and 5k (Newburyport, MA) – Sept 26, 2027
- SoNo Half Marathon & 5k (Norwalk, CT) – Oct 3, 2027
I think it maybe Surftown… and it will obviously be easier to find a place rent for 3 instead of 10 but I will really miss our big group.
5.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that again this year, I may have become pumpkin-obsessed.
Happy Running! What’s new with you? Do you like pumpkin-flavored foods? Have you been to NYC recently? Any recommendations for a half marathon in the NE? Please share.

It’s Friday so I’m also linking up with bloggers, Me (My First 5K and More), Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, and Runs with Pugs,
And don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other blogs!!

You know, I do like pumpkin and “pumpkin spice” flavors but I don’t but too many pumpkin products. The waffles and pop-tarts look good!
Bummer that your racecation group is dwindling, but it’s amazing that you’ve kept it going for so long.

Darlene, I think you will need to recruit the next generation for your race-cation running group! Maybe some out of your STEM running group would be interested?
Well done for belonging to the die-hard core group!

I do love fall flavors! Give me all the pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, cookies, etc. I have done some fall baking already and I really enjoy it. And I agree – you need to get some new blood into your race-cation group!!

my original group of large runners definitely has diminished. I am no longer running and I think maybe just 2 of the original group is. No one is racing anymore. We are still besties! It is always fun to visit NYC this time of the year!

You’ve got a great assortment of pumpkin items in your cart! I’ve been baking pumpkin sourdough (which is wildly popular) but I haven’t purchased anything other than pumpkin puree yet. It’s a bummer your running group is dwindling but it’s the nature of the beast, I guess.
Have fun in NYC!

I’m all in for all the pumpkin items too – except I don’t do pumpkin in my coffee.
That’s a bummer about your racecation group – you all have been at it for quite a while!
Enjoy your time in NYC!

Our racecation group has shrunk too – because life – but we still plan trips when we can.
I love fall flavors but not in drinks. My friend just made a yummy pumpkin cinnamon sourdough bread.
I love Central Park in fall, too!
