It’s that time of the month…
time to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
1.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that after 3 weeks in a row in NYC, I’m not scheduled to work there until October.
Although there was little running involved, I did get to meet up with 3 friends and see 3 Broadway shows. Love my NYC visits!!
2.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that although my foot is feeling better, I decided to DNS the Boilermaker 15k on July 12.

I am pretty sad since I was looking forward to this (expensive) race but I feel that it’s the right move.
At least I was able to transfer my bib… no luck on the bus ticvket though.
3. Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I still have 3 races on my schedule including one tomorrow.

They’re all local and I plan to run/walk them conservatively.
-
- 07-04-26 – Firecracker 4
- 07-19-26 – Keep MOO’ving 5k
- 08-09-26 – Run for the Roses 5k
I also have an ortho appt July 9 and PT starting July 17… not sure if I need either.
4.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that my goal race is now our girls weekend race on September 12.
I have 10 weeks to get this foot into half marathon shape!!
5.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that my new cat, who was living in one of our large bedrooms, is allowed to roam the house.
No photos of her with the other 2 cats yet.
Dali has warmed up to me but she hides under the bed when she sees my hubby.
Domino is afraid of her since she hisses at him but he keeps coming back for more.
Diamond hisses at her but pretty much avoids her.
Time will tell…
Happy Running! What’s new with you? Please share.

It’s Friday so I’m also linking up with bloggers, Me (My First 5K and More), Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, and Runs with Pugs
So Join in!
And don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other bloggers.

I’m sorry your foot is causing you issues. How did you get PT set up without seeing the ortho first? While Virginia lets you do PT without a Dr’s order, my insurance requires the Dr. visit first. — Asking because I now have a PT order for my hip. 😉
Enjoy the Firecracker 4 (miler?).
Dali is so cute!

My insurance does not require a script
Foot is feeling better. We will see how it feels after Saturday’s race.

Thanks. Foot only hurts when I walk and after a race. Hmmm

Sorry you had to take a pass on the Boilermaker but great you could transfer your bib.

Glad to hear your foot is feeling better. Good luck with the race tomorrow!
Dali’s little mustache face is so, so cute. It actually sounds like the cats are doing pretty well. Muffin hisses at Foxy and Sylvie all the time, but she really doesn’t mind them. It’s like she has to fulfill some sort of cat obligation by hissing at other cats.
Right now all my cats are hiding because people are already setting off fireworks. SIGH!

Yes I think the hissing is for effect. Lol.
Foot is ok to run slow but sir when walking after. Boo.

I can’t wait til the three kitties are together! How cute are they!
Sorry about the DNS. That’s really hard. I’m skipping the 4th of July race. It’s just too hot and I don’t feel like dealing with it.

It was hot here today but I did the race.
And yes would love the 3 to get along.

Mine was dry but very hot and humid. Rain would have felt great.

Probably a good choice to DNS that race, 15k is quite a long distance with a sore foot. Hope all goes well with the other race tomorrow and that the foot feels good enough. Perhaps keep at least the PT appointment unless it’s all good when you get to the 17th, considering you do have a problem and some PT input could be useful to prevent it from happening again?
I love how your other two cats have almost exactly the same markings but opposite!

Your comment went to SPAm… not sure why.
Even if my foot feels great, I plan to go to PT to see why and prevent it from happening again.

I don’t know why your blog ate my comment all of a sudden! I wanted to say that it’s so cool that your other two cats have almost exactly the same markings (at least in their faces) but opposite colours.
I hope your race goes well this weekend and that your foot feels good enough. Probably a good choice to skip that other race – 15k is a bit long with a sore foot.

The foot held up. I ran slow and it only hurt after.

It’s great that your foot is feeling better, and while I’m sure you’re disappointed that you’re skipping the 15K, it’s probably a good idea in the long run.
Happy Independence Day! Hope you’re enjoying the weekend! Will you be able to get out on the boat?

wow you aren’t in NYC again until October??? that’s a long time!
I think you made the right decision about the Boilermaker. I get being sad about it. Sometimes it’s just like this.
Love your tuxies. Cats are so weird though. We struggle with ours so much that some live upstairs and some downstairs. When they are all together we have to keep an eye out or the kittens will gang up on Rudyy or Priscilla. And that just leads to problems. Hopefully yours will all get along with each other soon.

At least we have 3 floors so they can separate but hope they eventually get along.
Yes I know I shouldn’t run the 15k but I’ll be sad that day.

I know about the DNS – not like me but 9 hilly miles for a beer and leaving at 4 am on a bus… An easy DNS.
