It’s that time of the month…

time to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
1.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I’ve having a hard time convincing my local running friends to enter races.
Today’s 4 miler used to be one of our most popular races.
It may be only me today.
It’ll still be fun since there will be a big crowd.
2. Over coffee…
I’d tell you that tomorrow I have another race. I didn’t plan it this way. It was scheduled for June 21 when I signed up.
I was worried that it may be on trails since it is a new course.
It turns out that it’s on the road. Phew!
3.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that along with the mug theme, I have another 5k next Saturday and one on July 27.
The first one should be much easier since it is flat.
The 2nd one is hilly and I’m in it just for the ice cream!!
4.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that half marathon training should have started.
Why did I sign up for these damn 5ks?
5.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I want to try new things this year.. So
This week, I played pickleball.
This week, I did a track workout.
Both were hard. Both need a lot work.
Hopefully by the next the Coffee Update, there will be improvement.
Happy Running! What’s new with you? Please share.
It’s Friday so I’m also linking up with bloggers, Me (My First 5K and More), Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, Runs with Pugs, and the Running Teacher!
So Join in!
And don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other blogs!!

So how different is pickleball from tennis?
I hope your 4 miler went well!

Very different, different racquet, different balls, different scoring, rules and smaller court.
My 4 miler was very fun…

WHat’s your opinion of PIckleball? A really good friend, who is an avid tennis gal, gets really annoyed when people assume she loves both sports equally, LOL. Spoiler: she does not. Good luck with all your races!

only one lesson and I’m pretty sure I prefer tennis. And I prefer running to tennis.

I think you’ve said why 5K every summer! But you’ll do them again next year. 🙂
I did two CP races in June which is a lot for current me . I’d rather save the money for other running adventures
I listen to pickleball every time I sit by the water but it doesn’t appeal. Golf is my new in 2025 adventure

glad you are enjoying golf. I don’t think pickleball is for me but at least I tried.
I think 5k are appealing because I don’t train and we have so many during the summer.

you are the queen of the 5K lately! It’s a nice option in this heat. I have never played pickleball! I had FOMO at first when everyone was doing it during covid but I am over it LOL

A little fomo here and I felt I had to try… I doubt it will be my sport of choice.

Curious to hear what you think of pickleball given your love of tennis. I haven’t tried it, just haven’t felt the pull though I have a couple of friends who really like it.

It’s a bummer that you’re having trouble recruiting friends to run races with you. I have yet to try pickleball.
