It’s that time of the month…
time to join up with Coco & Deborah
for their ultimate coffee date.
1. Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I just ran a half marathon but crazy me signed up for two more this month!
2.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that you can never have too many pairs of running shoes especially if someone sells them cheaply. (I do add my own insoles!!)

Topos for $49 (new=$130) and they’re purple!
3.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that my running group has been shrinking. Between those who winter in Florida, those who are sick and those who are injured, I have struggled to find company to do my long runs on the weekends. But fortunately I have only had to run ONE long run solo (due to 2 last minute cancellations).
I miss my tribe!
4.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I giddy about leaving this cold weather and heading to Florida in less than a week. I know it may not be very warm but it won’t be icy and the temps should be above freezing.
5.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that related the above vacation, I have quite a few friends to visit and activities with them, believe it or not, will NOT involve running.
Don’t worry, there will be:
-
- a sunrise run or two
- a half marathon
- a meet-up with a running blogger (guess who?)
Happy Running! What’s new with you? Have you signed up for any winter long races? Do you ever buy used clothing/shoes? Any trips planned to escape the cold? Do you always try to get in your running when you visit friends? Have you met other bloggers in person? Please share.
It’s Friday so I’m also linking up with bloggers, Me (My First 5K and More), Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, Runs with Pugs, and Zenaida!
So Join in!
And don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other bloggers.
Have so much fun in FL! Florida at any temperature is better than the polar tundra, IMO. Love the purple shoes!

I agree. The weather is awful here. I just want to get away.

Yes, it may be cold in Florida, but Florida “cold” has nothing on us from the much colder states 😉 I’m glad I had that last cold week in the sunshine state before we trekked back home to the Iowa winter, LOL

I’m only there for a short time. So I do hope for a few sunny days.

Well there is snow in TX right now but I think you’re safe.
I have never bought used running shoes. Not sure if I’ve ever bought used regular shoes. I don’t buy much in used clothes at all. But I will certainly look for bargains on new stuff!

The used shoes I’ve bought are sometimes new or practically new. Of course I use my own insoles.

Hmmm, who could the mystery running blogger be? ; )
I can tell you it’s pretty warm and toasty here right now- we’ll try to hold onto that for you!
You just reminded me that I bought a pair of Topos and only wore them a couple times- I’m going to take them out again and see how they work with my new orthotics.

Yes. Love my topos. But they’re not for everyone. And they have so many styles.
See you soon. Keep some sunshine. It’s miserable here.

Love the “new” shoes. I have never bought used running shoes. Sounds like these were a great deal.
My husband’s family lives in FL, Palm Bay, so I’m familiar with Melbourne. I didn’t know that they had a marathon this month. I was supposed to go down for my granddaughter’s birthday, but she decided to just have friends over and no real party – she’s turning 13 on the 8th. I hope you enjoy the warmer weather and have a great Half.

Too bad. I’d love to meet up.
Yes I can’t wait for warmer weather. Today especially is miserable and getting colder over the weekend.

The race in Florida sounds lovely. I’m sure you are ready to get to somewhere warm. I have never worn those type of shoes. I am a brooks girl but that is an awesome deal.

Brooks are so pretty but unfortunately now that my feet don’t hurt I’m afraid to switch back. Yes I am really ready for some warmer temps and sunshine.

When I find running shoes that fit I immediately buy another similar pair.
No races here, cancelled or postponed for Covid.
I have never bought used clothes or shoes.
I always try to get in my running when I go to another place.
I have met other bloggers in person and it was a pleasure.

If I ever come to Italy I’ll let you know. I agree that once you find shoes you like you have to buy many.

Enjoy your time in Florida! It definitely beats the weather up north. I am all about buying shoes and even better if they’re in cute colors and great price. Which insoles do you add?

I have pair of pink Super Feet.
I certainly will be warmer even if it’s not warm.
And you do have cute shoes. I wish I could wear Brooks.

I hope the weather is a little better than the forecast shows right now. Even if it’s cold, having the sun would be fabulous.
