It’s Friday so I’m linking up with Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup! Join in! Don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other bloggers.
My topic today is: My favorite Summer Fruit
It’s Cherries because they taste good and …
they are good for you.
Here’s five reasons why:
1.Antioxidant Protection (superior to Vitamin E)
2.Cancer-Preventive Compounds
3.Reduce Inflammation and Post-Exercise Muscle Pain
4.Support Healthy Sleep (Contain Melatonin)
‘Tis the season to buy those cherries.
And after the Cherry season, how do I get my dose of cherries?
- Yogurt

the only brand I eat LOL
- Juice
- Dried Cherries
- Cherry Pie
So not all of the above are healthy. LOL
Happy Running! What was your favorite “healthy” fruit? Do you eat a lot of cherries in the summer? Do you eat cherries after the summer?
I love cherries as well – Jeff and I just plowed through a huge bag of them this week. 🙂

The cherries have been amazing this year! Bonus: Aldi’s has them for so cheap I’ve been eating a tone of them!

I put them in my smoothies with some cacao powder. Chocolate and cherries is a yummy combo! With loads of anti-inflammatory power.

I love cherries! I would actually buy them if they weren’t so expensive here in PA. I really enjoy red grapes. I just bought a bunch because they were 89 cents a pound!

Unfortunately a few years ago I developed an allergy to cherries 😦 It sucks because they used to be one of my favorite fruits!

I love cherries but they are so dang expensive here! And messy when you have to pit them yourself!

Long ago, I picked them and made a pie. Never again!!
And yes, you have to find a place to put the stems & pits. But they taste so good.

I like cherries, too, but have not had many of them this year (not sure why…). I think my favorite summer fruit is nectarine (or peaches) and raspberries. Holy yum!!

I love cherries. I think I paid $10 for a bag of them last weekend. My husband and I devoured them in a few days.

I actually used to HATE cherries! But then one day I realized I had never had a really good Bing cherry! Then it was all LOVE! I love getting a huge bag of organic cherries from Costco for my smoothies! Helps me recover from my workouts!
