Ultimate Coffee Date for April 2025

It’s that time of the month…

in different places (like DC & NYC)

time to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.

1.Over coffee…

I’d tell you that with all that’s going on in the world, DC was not my preferred place to visit (I had signed up for this race before the election.)

But it worked out well and I really enjoyed my visit in the nation’s capital.

2. Over coffee…

I’d tell you that I even had a blogger meet-up or two in DC.

I had already met Deborah in NYC & Portland, ME but I had NEVER met Coco.

3.Over coffee…

I’d tell you that with every race I run, my finish time expectations get lower.  It’s all mental.  I’m a work in progress.

I don’t expect any PR (2:06) finish times but I’d love to get back to sub 2:27.

4.Over coffee…

I’d tell you that I’m back in NYC for work today.

For my last time?

Cari says I’m the like the girl who cried wolf.

Just in case, I spent yesterday enjoying the city.

5.Over coffee…

I’d tell you that whether or not I get to travel for work to NYC, you will still see me here.

I have several fun/race trips planned: June 6-7, July 13-14, Sept 12-13, Nov. 2-3 to name a few.

Happy Running! What’s new with you?  Please share.

  1. Yes, I just seem to get slower and slower. This summer I’m going to work on speed- but I said that last summer and the summer before, so we’ll see.

Glad you enjoyed your time in DC! You can’t go wrong with a race and a blogger meetup.

  2. I’m really behind on races this year, especially compared to you! I usually have a Jan/Feb race & a St.Patrick’s race, but none of the above. I’ve got the Climb done (lady weekend), though, and am looking forward to a 10K & 1-mile in two weeks. Im envious of all your NYC adventures, running & fun.

    • You are lucky. I may need to go to Chicago sometime.

I have now one more work trip at the end of the month but that’s it.

I will now go for fun.

  3. That’s awesome that you got to see Deborah and Coco! I have a friend in DC that I wanted to visit but unfortunately don’t really want to go out there anymore these days. 😦

It’s been a bit since I’ve been to New York, but I’d like to go back to visit too!

  4. It was great to meet you in person. I’m so glad you didn’t cancel your race in D.C. We can’t surrender! It’s our city, not his. 😉

Your photos from the botanical garden are amazing. What a nice combo with the impressionists exhibt!

    • I did enjoy DC. I didn’t though do my White House tour. Just couldn’t.

I wanted to see cherry blossoms but the magnolias were just as beautiful.

  5. How fun were the meetups!!! I was supposed to meet up on one of her visits but it was when my mom was in the hospital and I couldn’t make it. I am glad you got to enjoy DC regardless of how things are right now.
