It’s that time of the month…
time to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
1.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I love routines which means that I run 4 times a week and work out at the gym 3 times.
Obviously running is a priority because the past 2 weeks I did get my runs in but my gym visits slacked off. In fact, I never got to the gym at all when I was not working from home…
Yup, only on Sundays!
Hopefully, I will continue to work remotely most of the time so that I don’t have to cancel my gym membership.
2. Over coffee…
I’d tell you that speaking of running and not working from home, that also meant that my runs would have to be after work (I’m not a 5 am runner).
Not a problem, right?
Yes. problem this summer when it is HOT and insanely humid… sucky runs!!
3.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that my car may be on its last legs…
I do love my car but it is over 13 years old (168K miles) and lately the repairs have been killing my budget.
So what does this have to do with running?
Well, I find myself requiring certain things in a new car…
-
- All wheel drive – need in the NE to get to my running routes, hikes and races in all wintry conditions.
- Heated seats and steering wheel – to immediately warm up after the freezing temp runs, hikes and races.
- Big enough trunk for all my running/hiking gear but an SUV is not necessary since my hubby drives a pick up truck.
Stay tuned for an update…
4.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I’ve been on a knitting frenzy since my granddaughter will be born in a month.
I finished the blanket and now want to make a hat and booties.
Working, running, hiking, working out… when do I knit?
Long car rides to and from the lake and also train and subway rides (when I worked in NYC).
5.Over coffee…
I’d tell you that sometimes I’d love to disable those memories on Facebook.
Many in July were at races
Both of these women have since died from cancer…
Happy Running! What’s new with you? Can you identify with any of my updates? Please share.
It’s Friday so I’m also linking up with bloggers, Me (My First 5K and More), Running With Attitude, Run Laugh Eat Pie, Runs with Pugs, and Zenaida!
So Join in!
And don’t forget to link back to your hostesses and visit some other bloggers.

I wish I had time (or cited make time!) to knit. I still have another “ugly Christmas sweater” left to create, LOL.

Yes, I can see how that would be a sad reminder! I know Facebook won’t show old photos that include things like hospitals or other sad locations… too bad you can’t customize that feature.
Remember, all those hot and humid runs over the summer will make the marathon seem easier!
Good luck with you car shopping!

I would love to just see happy memories!!
I think I’m keeping my old car for a little while longer.
Yes, I hope it will be cooler in Nov (it wasn’t last year).

Oh wow. Those pics of Andrea and Christa give me chills. They were so vibrant and such dear blog friends. I miss them. The baby blanket is gorgeous! All the best with the new car quest!

Thanks… it’s so hard to pick a car… I may delay the search.

My memories will pop up of a friend who also passed away. At first, it is a gut punch but I am happy to have the happy memories of her. I also thrive on having a schedule and keeping to it. Those are the same things I like in a car especially the heated steering wheel

I do enjoy the happy memories too … just lately there have been a few sad ones.

I wouldn’t mind hot and humid right now – or at least hot. We’re waiting for storm Antoni to hit tonight. 🙁
How lovely to have a knitting frenzy! And great that you can get knitting done in the car. You seem so busy otherwise with work, running and gym.
How sad to have memories pop up of friends who passed away. I think I’ve mostly had fun and happy memories come up on Facebook.. travels and the likes. I don’t use Facebook much anymore.

Unfortunately who knew that those pics would eventually become unhappy memories.
I was enjoying those cool morning runs but the heat will return. I’m ok with it since summers are so short here.

I’m so sorry about your friends. Those memories sure can be bittersweet. ((Hugs)))
A running essential I’d want for a car is keyless entry via an app on my phone so I wouldn’t have to carry my key.

That would be great too.

I also love routines! When there is a change and I don’t do that same thing again, it leaves me confused. Bummer on the car! Will you get a new one soon?

No. I’m gonna wait to buy a new car. Hopefully I can.

I’m sorry for your unhappy memories. I imagine that must be a gut punch.
At a certain point, a new car just makes sense. We had to upgrade a few months ago. I hate having two car payments, but the transmission was being iffy. The car was probably the same age as yours, so we traded up.

I get what you’re saying but I hate having a car payment!!
And re: FB I’m trying to remember the happy ones.

Well, my car has far less miles but it is 23 years old. I’m holding onto it for now. Husband’s car just went in for a large repair — he also has to get some other stuff done to it. But it’s 100k miles so it needed a look see, plus there was several things going on with it. It’s part of living in an area you can’t walk everywhere — which is pretty much the entire US.

True. I depend on my car and need it daily.
I’d like to hold on to my car longer but the repairs are so costly on a BMW.

It’s fun shopping for a new car, I hope you find the one that fits your needs! I admire that you can knit, I’ve never learned to do it – so exciting that the baby is almost here!
Hope you’ve been having a great summer!

I can’t wait to be a grandma.
Car shopping is stressful… we may keep the car a little while longer.
