If you celebrate, hope you had a nice holiday.
I did a lot of celebrating the previous week so Christmas for us was sorta lowkey. No gift exchange just time with the family.
Did you enjoy this fitness challenge? I admit I had to google most of them and then adapt them for me.
And lastly, I am blessed to have support and inspiration from my blogging friends:
Last Week:
- Sunday – A early impromptu afternoon hike with a friend to work off some calories.
because in the evening I attended my mah jongg book club followed by our re-scheduled anniversary dinner – 13 years and counting!!
- Monday – #nevermissamonday so I had to squeeze my run in during lunch since I volunteer after work. I loved my before work run last week but it was 15 degrees!! Nope not today.

feels like 23 but at least it was sunny…lots of decorations with a menorah in the window & a Hanukkah flag?
- Tuesday – I was going to squeeze in another lunch run but a friend agreed to run with me after work. Our last run through the lights in the park… so much fun!
A nice surprise came in the mail – my age group award from the Troy Turkey Trot
- Wednesday – Today was a rest day. But I did meet friends after work for a walk.
- Thursday – I got up early and planned my sunrise run but feels like 10 degrees sent me back indoors for a cup of coffee.
I did get it done at lunch when it was a little warmer.
After work, we met to play mah jongg since Christmas Eve was on Friday night.
- Friday -Iffy weekend weather prompted me to get out there for at least a short run. Not in the morning…surprise snowfall!!
Eventually it did stop snowing and I ran on the roads in town during lunch.
- Saturday – Christmas Day!! And a rainy one!! Long run postponed until Sunday!
My hubby and I agreed not to get each other gifts.
- Sunday – Re-scheduled Long Run. Location TBA depending the state of the bike paths. I also begged for company. I HATE to run alone for 11 miles. And my friend Sherry accepted to share 8 of them.
4 MILES to go to meet my 1000 MILE goal for the year. And so I did it!!!!!!!!!!!

Our plans got derailed. Not sure what we will do.
Winter is always challenging here. It’s been worse. Not complaining

Looks like a busy and festive week! Your kitties are so pretty. What a fun age group award! So that’s where the white stuff is. The snow is mysteriously absent here so far.

That is a really awesome AG award! Congrats!
We don’t exchange gifts but sometimes hubby still gets me something. Sounds like yours came through with something great. 🙂

Great Christmas gift! That must have been a nice surprise. And, nice job on the long run. Great week of workouts, including the 12 days of Fitmas challenge!

Happy Anniversary! That’s a fun AG award!
We haven’t had any snow yet — it was in the upper 60s and sunny today!
Merry Christmas!

It’s still cold but not as cold as winters go.
Saturdays rain washed away the snow.

That charger is a great AG award! I have a similar one, that my sister gave me, but I forget to use it. It’s been charged, and is ready for me…but it gets left on the counter all.the.time. You really had some serious “winter” weather!

Yup. It’s winter. But the worst is probably yet to come.
Ha ha. It’s still sitting on the kitchen counter.

My daughter and I both also got standup paddle boards recently. I bought mine sometime late fall when I saw it was something like $300 off but haven’t had the opportunity to take it out yet and my daughter just got hers for Christmas. I can’t wait to take them out! We used to go to a lake nearby that rented them pre-covid but haven’t been since the pandemic started.
Way to get in those miles when it’s only in the teens and congrats on reaching your goal mileage!

WE blew it up in the living. And yes, can’t wait to use it this summer.
Cold today so I am procrastinating…

Lovely pussy cats and I love seeing the collage on everyone’s posts. I’ve just remembered husband and I have forgotten to give each other our gifts! I give him money and he tops up my spreadsheet and I can ask him to pay for treats through the year, whereas he usually puts mine towards something special in the sales. Having a birthday in January means I can spread treats through the year this way!

Congrats on the age group award!
Your cats are lovely, just today we have spent 6 hours in a pet hospital because the old cat of my in-law (when she passed we took care of him) feels really bad. We got bad news and an advice that we don’t want follow at all!!!!!
Only one time I ran on the snow but it was only for fun and on short distance: too dangerous.
Happy New Year to you and family.

I agree about running in the snow… only for fun but definitely not with ice.

Thanks… it helps that I was not injured at all this past year.
Happy New Year. Hope you have an injury-free year in 2022.

I think I’d have gotten as far as the weather app, although I did get out Monday morning at 18 because I had no choice (doc appt, running warmer than walking).
No gifts is the best decision at times, even when one doesn’t listen

My hubby is notorious as a bad gift giver and I really do not NEED a thing. But yes, I was shocked because every time I mentioned one, he said they were boring and took up too much space. lol
Now that I am STILL remote I can squeeze in my runs cuz I just log in while in my sweaty running clothes.
