Cooler less humid temps – yay!
Leaves changing colors – yay!
Early darkness – boo!
Flowers dying – boo!
So I guess it’s a mixed bag!!
Last Week-
- Sunday – Unfortunately it was too cold and rainy to go on our boat. I tried to make the best of the weather. I went to the gym, got my nails done, did more decorating, shopping and cooking…
There were quite a few races happening locally but with the weather, no FOMO here.
- Monday – I got up early to get in a run…
I met Jenny to walk at lunch…
and then I visited my granddaughter after work. (sorry no pics)
- Tuesday – WFH and a busy one… but I finally got my car back from the dealer (mystery repairs covered by warranty 🙂 )
- Wednesday – Similar to the day before but after work O attended the 2nd meeting of the STEM group.
I got there a little early to add more steps to my day.
- Thursday – I squeezed in a run at lunch…
Because I had dinner plans with my tennis friends in the evening.
- Friday- Started the day at the gym…
and joined my friends for mah jongg in the evening. (And I won 3x!!)
- Saturday – Great Pumpkin Challenge 10k. I’ve run this race many times before so I knew that the first 5k was flat and then it gets hilly. Unfortunately there were a few snafus this year.
The good news: No rain, I finished, I won my age group, connected with a lot of racing friends.
The bad news: Parked in the far lot, shuttle was late, had to run a mile to packet pick up, then sprint to the start line, my lower back ached the whole race.
In the afternoon, I met up with a friend for a trip to MA. We visited our favorite consignment shop, then we had drinks and a yummy French dinner.
A very full day!
- Sunday – Gym and no boating since rain was in the forecast and we are celebrating my MIL’s 101st birthday.
This Coming Week on the Run –
- Monday – run
- Tuesday – gym, walk
- Wednesday – STEM mentor run (week 3)
- Thursday – PM run, walk w/BFF
- Friday- gym, walk, mah jongg
- Saturday – Barn to Bridge 5k.
This Coming Week on the Blog –
- Tuesday – Great Pumpkin Challenge 10k Race Recap
- Friday – Ultimate Coffee Date

I do also love the cooler fall temps. I wish they would last longer. Could do without all the rain though. Congrats on winning 3 Mahjong 3x. Isn’t that fun? Sometimes you have a great starting hand and then never get those tiles you need!

I had a dry spell with mah jongg… it happens and you never get a joker or pick what you need. Still a fun game.

Congrats on winning your age group at Saturday’s Great Pumpkin Challenge 10K! It’s always especially fun when you see lots of friends at a race!
I love your cat flag! It finally dried off enough that I was able to switch my flags out from summer to fall on Wednesday afternoon.

Congrats to another race finish, age group win, and that you had dry weather too!
I have a hard time to enjoy this particular autumn because of the cat issue but we do have very nice weather, the perfect autumn weather with fresh air, light breeze, sunny and quite warm despite chilly mornings.

You have a tuxedo cat fall flag!!! I love it.
Sounds like that race was kind of an adventure (and it turned into a long run). Sorry about your back aching (oh I know that feeling!) but congrats on the AG win! Looking forward to the recap.
No fall weather here, of course- I’m getting it all from reading blogs and looking at other people’s photos!
