Today’s Topic was 5 Fitness Challenges To Try This Month
Since I recently returned from a week with friends in Naples, FL, I decided to switch it around and post about 5 Ways I stayed fit while on vacation.
This was my challenge. LOL
1. I RAN at least a mile everyday.
I was tired. It was hot and humid but I made a point to get out there.
The runs weren’t fast. I stopped frequently for photos.
I did it while my friends were taking tennis lessons.
2. I played tennis everyday.
I hadn’t played since last summer and I was very rusty.
But it was doubles and my friends were very forgiving.
3. I walked along the beach…
4. I ran a race.
Despite that it was hot, humid and buggy, I actually enjoyed this 5k (in its new location.)
5. I ate healthy 2 out of my 3 meals each day.
Oatmeal for breakfast and yogurt and fruit for lunch.
Of course, it probably didn’t balance out the beach drinks, dinners out and ice cream desserts.
Happy Running! Which fitness challenges are you going to try this month? How to you keep fit while on vacation? Please share.

I disagree- your two healthy meals definitely balanced out all the treats. You were on vacation- not a time to deprive yourself. Plus this was a very active vacation for you! You needed the carbs ; )

I always run and walk a ton on vacation. I try to plan at least some active excursions on every trip. I love to try all the foods and treats (and a few drinks) but I try to balance it out with some healthy options like you did!

Your 2:1 ratio on the healthy meals is a good balance in my book 😉 Besides you also do a great job of staying active so it all works out in the end, right?
