Weekly Run Down for 3.23.25-3.30.25: On to the next one…

Two half marathons completed for 2025 and another in a few weeks.

Let the training continue.

Last Week –

  • Sunday – I started the day at the gym and then my friend & I decided to go to Mass. to explore some consignment shops and have lunch.

there were 2 catwalk boutiques and we got quite a few bargains… hey, all the $$ goes to charity.

  • Monday – Still pretty chilly here which is typical for spring in the NE.

Today was cloudy, windy and rainy… UGH!!

I did my run after work and at least it was dry…

I drove to the other end of the rail trail for a change

  • Tuesday – I went to the gym before work and then after work, I met my BFF for a walk in the mall.
  • Wednesday – Today was the first day of the Training Challenge group that I am mentoring.

I got there early to get in a few miles before the newbie runners arrived.

first time on the water line since fall..

I ran with a few beginners and we did 60:90 run/walk intervals. (Sorry, I forgot to take a pic.)

  • Thursday – Teaching live today and then I met my friend Deb after work for a run on the Corning bike path

I was really dragging and Deb was understanding…

I was supposed to go to our monthly tennis dinner but instead I had to attend a ZOOM meeting to be on the board for STEM.

  • Friday – Another live teaching day so no time for the gym or a run but I did play mah jongg in the evening.
  • Saturday – Long Run and Brunch. Will I get in my 12 miler? Will the rain hold off?

The rain did hold off but I did not get in my long run. 😦

I woke up with all awful stomach virus (which might have explained why I was not feeling well the past two days.)

I spent the day instead in the bathroom and in bed…

  • Sunday – TBD (depending on how quickly I recover)

The plan was for the hubby and I to head to NYC for some fun activities:

170,000 tulips in Union Square: How to get free flower bouquet | FOX 5 New York

Riverdance Tickets | Radio City Music Hall

La Masseria | Manhattan | Restaurants

  1. Ack! Stomach viruses are THE WORST. You can’t just power through that. Sorry it sounds like it ruined your weekend! Glad the weather is a little nicer, at least. I hope you feel better soon.

  2. So sorry about the stomach virus! They’re terrible! Take care and remember the fluids, sugar and electrolytes.

It sure looks cold where you are. Here spring has finally arrived after what feels like the longest winter since we moved to Ireland.

  3. I’m so sorry you weren’t feeling well! Stomach bugs are the worst. I was sick over the weekend–we went out to lunch and I started to feel bad a few hours later. I never vomited but I had terrible stomach pains all night. I had to skip my morning run on the IAT–we were up at the lake. That upset me the most lol.

    I hope you’re feeling better.

  4. Sorry for the late reply (I wasn’t able to comment via my iPad & forgot to come back with my phone). Looks like another busy week for you! Did you catch Riverdance? I bet that was great!
