Favorite Running Views/Places

Since it’s Tuesday, I’m joining the link-up organized by Zenaida and Kim (Kooky Runner)

The Topic for today is: My Favorite Running Places

Unfortunately, this summer I have not been running on my top picks so some of these are nostalgic.

I love scenic routes (especially those along the water) and I enjoy variety.

  • New York City

in Central Park

along the East River

along the Hudson River

  • Bolton Landing (upstate NYS)

  • Washington Park (Albany)

and fall

  • Zim Smith Bike Path

  • The Crossings

  • Albany Rail Trail

There are a few more that I haven’t mentioned here as well:

I’m also linking up here:

Happy Running! What criteria do you use when picking a favorite route? Are you still running on  your favorite routes during the Pandemic? Please share.

  1. So many beautiful views, Darlene!
I think I would choose “The Crossings”. I love running in forests and having a lot of green around me.
I like that photo of you in Washington Park in front of the tulips. Your skirt matches perfectly!

  2. I’m always amazed by your pictures. I do most of my running right out of my front door so the scenery doesn’t vary that much although I do have many routes to choose from. Probably my favorite place to run is on the beach on vacation. I’ll just do a few miles and then jump into the ocean.

  3. I also like scenic routes along the water, but that doesn’t happen very often the days! I do have lake a few miles from my house that I sometimes run around if Im doing a longer run. I’ve actually never run in NYC and that is definitely on my running bucket list!

  4. You’ve certainly done your share of exploring this year! I love the cityscape as much as I love the trails. The view never gets old–and I’m talking about the Chicago lakefront, lol. I’ve never run in NYC.

    • Oh you have to do a NYC race!! And I’d love to run in Chicago. I’ve been there once but before I was a runner.

Again about nature and city view.
