Still working at home…all social activities cancelled. (Even introverts enjoy adult conversation lol)
Grateful that I was pro-active and got my eyes examined, new supply of contacts, ordered new glasses, got my hair cut and colored and my nails done…all before lock down.
Only things left to do are run, walk, hike and bike.
I will survive!!!
Last Week –
- Monday – That nice weather we had last week was gone. Snow/rain mix all day. I did not let that stop me from my lunch walk in the snow.
But my after work walk… snowing too hard out. sigh.
- Tuesday – My new normal continued…. lunch walk…
Unfortunately, work was too busy to even take a lunch break. 😦
Followed by an after work run or walk.
I plan to run every other day depending on the weather. So today was a run day. It was chilly but at least it was dry on the trail trail (in spite of the recent snowstorm) and since I didn’t do my lunch walk, I ran 4 instead of my normal 3 miles.
- Wednesday – Back to our new normally scheduled program…
Lunch walk
After work walk
- Thursday – Sorry if you are getting bored with my life. I am too.
A muddy lunch walk
A post work run (done virtually with my NYC pal, Cari)

drove to the Crossings – perfect weather and so many people outdoors (so many that the next day, they decided to close the park)
First ZOOM video chat (with some of the Freihofer Run Ambassadors):
Second ZOOM chat with my running friends:
Gotta love technology!! Miss them!!!
- Friday – Same old, same old.
Lunch walk on a rest day:
Then walk number 2 after work on the rail trail:
Then when I got home, I did a ZOOM chat with my mah jongg friends (we normally play on Friday nights) and we planned to play online together. (realmahjongg.com)
- Saturday – Long Run Saturday but for the second week in a row without my running friends. I decided to drive to the Zim Smith rail which I hadn’t run on since fall.
I ran 3.5 miles in one direction and turned around and then 2.5 in the other direction (with a detour on a new path) and turned around. It wasn’t easy and as usual, a lot of walking photo stops but got it done (as I train for my April 18 unofficial virtual half marathon).
I made sure to order my (take-out) post run treats before the run. The chocolate milk at Leah’s Cakery is one of the reasons that I love this trail.
- Sunday – A rainy rest day…hopefully the rain will stop so I get in a walk…otherwise my non-working, non-running time is filled with knitting, laundry, cooking and housework. Miss my friends!!!
- always try to have floweres around as it cheers me up (along with the wine)
- part of a sock
Update: The rain did stop and I got in a long walk.
and de-cluttered many drawers:
This Coming Week –
- Monday – run
- Tuesday – rest day, walk
- Wednesday – run
- Thursday – run
- Friday – rest day,
mah jonggwalk - Saturday –
5k race. LONG RUN - Sunday – rest day, walk

Happy Running! How is your running going? Anyone running virtual races? How is this virus affecting you and your family? Please share.
Your sock yarn is so pretty! What brand/colorway is it? Glad you are still getting to run and walk, even if it’s by yourself. It feels good to be able to do at least that during this weird era.

It was cheap. On sale at Joanns. I saved it for a rainy day or a pandemic. Lol.

I did 2 virtual races this week as well. Makes me feel like I am accomplishing something. You were smart to do your hair and nails before this. I am finally going to figure out what color my hair really is haha. Thanks for linking up and have a great day

It was an accident. I had appts. I had no idea that everything would close. Scared about what I’ll look like in a few weeks

I’m getting bored with my life too haha. It’s not easy being inside all day! I’m a total extrovert so it’s even harder for me who is used to plenty of socializing and social running.

I’d say I’m an extroverted introvert. I do enjoy hanging out with my friends.

Love those knitted socks! Our Sunday dinners came to a crashing halt a few weeks ago, so we ZOOM’d with the kids, and included my parents, today. My first time doing that!

Isn’t it great that at least we have this technology?

The virtual races are motivating me! It just feels good to commit to a distance and to complete it. I need to start decluttering. I just can’t get motivated to do that.

Well it took me 2 weeks. And I’ve only just begun. Or maybe the feeling has left already.
I agree about committing to a distance rather than just running.

Wow pn the snow! We are full-on into spring here. I am glad I got new glasses and WISH I’d gotten a haircut and pedicure. Something else to look forward to … in May? I haven’t zoomed yet, but looking forward to some happy hours this weekend. 😉

I’ve decluttered as well. The problem is the donation places are closed. It’s not quite time to get my eyes checked/new contacts, but I wish I would’ve done it cuz now who knows??
I hope travel isn’t restricted before you can make it to FL.

Fla trip looks doubtful. I de-cluttered socks, underwear, bras, hats, shirts – all to be tossed.

You had some pretty views on your runs! I love those trees with the faces 🙂

I am trying to run in different places to make up for the fact that it is boring running alone

I’m also doing the #19for19challenge and it’s keeping me accountable for my workouts, which is what I really need right now.

I agree. I’m not working out per se but at least being active everyday

ZOOM is really saving the day for so many people. It’s nice to be able to connect like that.
We are just rolling with it, day in and day out. Mr PugRunner is working. I’m working. Little man just started distance learning, so I am overseeing that as well.
I think we are all just making it work as best we can.

Yes. Tough times. Especially for kids. And their parents

Nice that you’ve been connecting with friends by Zoom. I have a couple of “FaceTime and Wine” evenings planned with friends.
Looks like you took care of a lot of decluttering – I have a couple of closets to tackle but I’m not sure any of the usual organizations I donate to are offering pick-ups.

These are stuff to be tossed not given away.

“bored with your life” LOL! Hey, looks like you’re being more active than I am. My running friends had a Zoom meeting this past weekend. I’m feeling a bit out of it since I’m a bit bummed about my running pains so I didn’t attend 😦 I probably should have joined for a pick me up! I like your thinking – I have a favorite running trail that just happens to take me past a Starbucks on the way home. That’s my post run treat!

I identify with your Starbucks treat. I used to stop there during my previous job. Hope you do connect with your friends.
