Last Week:
- Monday – I worked all day at the NYS Bar Exam but managed to squeeze in a short run afterwards. The good news was that I ran on a new route. The bad news was that my legs were pretty tired.
- Tuesday – Second day at the Bar Exam and a long one it was. My only exercise was walking up and down the halls.
- Wednesday – Rain forced me onto the treadmill.

4 miles…hated every minute.
- Thursday – Another run after work. It rained all day but luckily it stopped at 6 pm so I didn’t have to get on the treadmill. Afterward walked the mall with my bff.
- Friday – A normal work day followed by an evening of mah jongg. Rest Day!!
- Saturday – My 12 mile run was split with running the first 6 with Barbara (who tired me out) and the last 6 with Judy. It was harder than last week but I guess some runs are like that.
Went to a Chinese New Year’s party in the evening – lots of food and drink – well deserved.
- Sunday – A picnic at the marina with our boating friends. We celebrated it being only 3 months until Memorial Day.
On the way home, I dropped my hubby off at tennis and squeezed in a couple of miles before the sun set. It was 55 degrees. I had to do it!!
24 miles done with 5 runs and 2 rest days.
This Week: (2 weeks until Half Marathon #18 )
- Monday – 3 mile run
- Tuesday – rest, tennis
- Wednesday – 3 mile run, yoga?
- Thursday – rest, hair appt
- Friday – 4 mile run, mah jongg
- Saturday – rest
- Sunday – 8-10 mile run, tea w/Judy
Once again, I am linking up for the Weekly Wrap hosted by Holly @ HoHoRuns and Tricia @ MissSippiPiddlin. See rules here.
Happy Running! How is your running going? Any races? How are you coping with winter weather?
I run to Siena all the time. It’s like your rail trail — downhill there, uphill back. But a lot of concrete for me (although much better since they put in sidewalks a few yrs ago.
I didn’t run yesterday. Errands & dog walking & my ankle was a little sore (no sorer than last week, and feels good today; it’ll just take a while to get back to normal — I think).
Feel free to invite Barb to tea, too. Although then you’ll have to run with her again. 🙂

I’m not sure if and how long she wants to run. I’ll run part with her. It’s probably a good thing to feel humbled. But I also like to feel good when I run so the slower pace keeps me healthy. It’s all about finding a balance.

All I know is I won’t be running with you two. I’ll be running way behind.

My treadmill set up looks like that with the ipad too 🙂 I don’t know that I could make it on there without shows on the ipad to keep me occupied. My half marathon is in two weeks as well. Which one are you doing?

Yep, RnR DC 🙂 It’s a great race in spite of one killer hill around mile 6. I did it last year as well and really enjoyed it in spite of the fact that it rained for the whole race.

Sounds like a great week of workouts! When we lived in Fairfax, our neighbors owned a Chinese restaurant and they invited us to their annual private Chinese New Year celebration. I still remember the food being absolutely incredible and very unlike the normal Chinese food.
We’ve been lucky here that our weather has been pretty mild lately so I’m taking advantage of the sunny days to get outside and get some vitamin D!

Hello from the link-up! Wow you get in a lot of runs! That’s awesome! I’m still feeling new to the running, and struggle to just get in three short runs!

That’s how I started. I used to run for a mile or so. After a few years, I pushed myself to run more.

You clean up nice Darlene! Just the other day, I was just calculating how long it would be before we would go to the lake and water ski. It’s less than 90 days, hopefully. If I was desperate, I could buy a new wet suit I guess. I think the water is in the low 60s right now. Brrr. I have another half when you do! Thanks for linking with us.

I don’t go in the water until July but we start boating in May.
