
Just trying to not freeze to death and get in some runs to train for my NYC Half on March 15.
Last Week –
- Sunday – WS#4 (3.5m or 15k or 30k) – this was re-scheduled from the week before due to a snowstorm. I had run 9 miles the day before and it was super cold and windy today.
Nope. I gave it a pass.
Instead I went to the gym… did lots of needed errands and then went out to dinner with my hubby and SIL to celebrate our anniversary (which had been on Jan 16.)
- Monday – I had the day off. My original plan was to hike with my friend Heidi. Well, she was off vacationing in Mexico (lucky lady).
I went to the gym instead and I didn’t have to wake up super early to go.
Then I met my friend Jenny for a “frigid” run.
Now that I was back to being healthy, I was able to stop by and visit with my granddaughter.
On the way home, I was treated to a beautiful full moon…
- Tuesday – Happy to report that it was another WFH week.
I met Jenny for another run (same distance, different location) at lunch time.
In the afternoon I went to the office to get some things done there.
Another dinner out… this time Indian food with two former co-workers.
- Wednesday – Another gym morning (though it’s a struggle to get out on these cold days…)
And I did go out to eat (again!). With my stepson (his early b-day gift).
- Thursday – Another lunch run with Jenny trying to get out there before the big freeze… Same location as Tuesday but it was sunny today (and unfortunately windy).
In the evening, I got a walk done in the mall.
- Friday- It was a gym morning…
then cleaning because mah jongg in the evening was at my house).
- Saturday – Long Run and Brunch.
My plan was to run 3 miles solo and then Deb would join me for 7 more. Afterward, the others would join us for brunch.
Even I’m not this crazy… The wind howled all night and it even snowed.
Plan B – Mall walk… (by the time I was done the temps had fallen to 1 degree!!)
followed by a Soup Cook-off to support Ukraine (with a friend)
- Sunday – WS #5 (3.5m or 10m or 20m)? Nope!
After a trip to the gym, I’ll probably spend most of the day cooking and packing for my trip…
This Coming Week on the Run –
- Monday – PM OFF – chiro appt, long run, granddaughter visit, mall walk with BFF
- Tuesday – Run, hair appt, pack
- Wednesday – Flight to West Palm Beach, FL. Pick up rental car and head to friend’s place in Delray Beach. Bird watching before sunset, dinner on the water
- Thursday – sunrise run? beach, concert, ??
- Friday -sunrise run? Gumbo Limbo, ???
- Saturday – Race of Hope 5k, brunch with old friends after in West Palm, Manatee Lagoon, move to a another friend’s place, Delray Open Legends tennis event
- Sunday – sunrise run? Greek festival in West Palm?
