It’s that time of the month…
to join up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
- Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I’ve taken up yoga again. Chair Yoga. Lol
Where I work they offered a 4 week class.
Many people think it’s for “old” folks but it’s so you don’t get sweaty or have to change clothes during the work day.
It was very fun. I hope they offer it again.
Do you do yoga? If you do, do you do it on your own or sign up for classes? Ever take a chair yoga class?
- Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I have started going to PT in hopes of curing my sore foot. Even though the xray and MRI revealed no abnormality with my foot, it still hurts. I got a cortisone shot… no real improvement.
Hoping that my PT lady works miracles.
Have you ever gone to PT to get rid of pain?
- Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I am running another inaugural race. The problem with that is that there are NO reviews and you have no idea about the logistics or the course.
Do you often sign up for inaugural races or do you prefer established ones?
- Over coffee…
I’d tell you that I am still trying to figure out what is the best running shoe for me … yes, after 10 years of running.
I tried Altra Torin Plush. Nope!!
I loved my Nikes but after the strained calf muscle, I switched to Mizuno Inspires.
Now with the foot neuroma….
I’m also trying Brooks Ghost.
Anyone else have problems finding the right running shoe? Anyone else run with a neuroma??
- Over coffee…
I’d tell you that my word this year is Patience. So I didn’t sign up for an entry to the Brooklyn Half Marathon in May. Big time FOMO on that one.
Instead I registered for a local half that same weekend. That'[s me being patient lol.
Anyone else impulsively register for races? Did you try to register for Brooklyn?
Happy Running! Got anything to spill? Share it here!
My cat loves my shoe boxes too! I buy them a fancy cat tree and they ignore it for the boxes.

Bermuda is going to be so exciting can’t wait to hear all about it. Maybe I can get my hubs to do chair yoga! Hey why not do it stretching is stretching

Yes it is. And it’s a surprising good workout.

Bermuda still could be flat — that elevation profile has a pretty low sclale. Of course, there’s only one way to find out for sure. 😉 As you know, I’m trying Brooks after giving up on Mizunos too. Bummer the cortisone shot didn’t help. I have gone to PT to resolve pain, but there was an underlying cause they were working on. I hope you get relief!

Mine is nerve pain and it is nerve wracking.
I’m hoping the hills are not bad. Can’t be worse than Central Park.

I always keep meaning to do more yoga but I’m terrible at making it a regular thing! I haven’t been to PT yet (I’m sure it’ll happen soon..) but I send my patients there all the time!

Same here with yoga.
Hope you never have to go. My 3rd time.

I hope that the PT resolves your foot pain, ugh I know how frustrating that kind of injury can be!
I’m not signed up for any races this spring…maybe I’ll be able to tackle an 5K in a couple of months,so obviously I have ALL the FOMO right now lol!
I hope you have a blast in Bermuda! I so wish I could go!

Have you tried out any Hokas? I worked through similar terrible ball of the foot pain with almost 12 weeks off running. I tried the Torin plush and the brooks ghost but then I found the Hoka Bondi 6 and they are amazing! No more foot pain.

Before this foot pain, several years ago, I tried them. They gave me terrible lower back pain. Maybe I should try them again. Thanks for the suggestion.
