Every Wednesday, the Deb from Deb Runs will be providing a word about which to blog. Kind of like a nice little blog prompt. Posts can be fitness or health related, but don’t have to be, so really anyone can play along. Just be sure to link up with InLinkz on Deb’s main post, and share the love by reading and commenting on other’s participant’s posts.
This week’s word is:
These are some of things we may want to ACCOMPLISH or “succeed in doing” by RUNNING (in no particular order):

- Visit new places.
- Take risks.
- Be one with nature.
- Sleep better.
- Enter races.
- Cross finish lines.
- Challenge ourselves.

Happy Running! What do you hope to “accomplish” by running?
That’s a long list! I could say yes to all of those things. Mostly tho, I want to stay vibrant, healthy, and happy!

Destressing is a really big one for me.
I’ve no illusions that I will ever win AG awards, unless I’m the only one in my AG, and that’s unlikely (or unless I want to race in a blizzard, and even then . . .).
Avoiding what has happened to my parents vitality is a big one!

You never know what you will accomplish. But everyone has different goals. Some runners may even want to BQ.

No, you never do, but I have a pretty good grasp of my capabilities.

These are all great things to accomplish while running. I often find out listening to many runners the one reason they started is not the reason they continue! Running has so many benefits and is forevermore changing YOU!

So very true. I think we keep adding to that list too.

I would agree to all of those! Some days, the reasons are different than other days.

Nice list, I nodded my head the entire time:)
Running really does help us accomplish so many more things than non runners would realize doesn’t it!
