Why (besides the color — agree with you there!) don’t you wear your Newtons? I’ve tried Asics, Brooks & Saucony, and my Newtons are by far my favorite shoe. I’ve even gotten a pair of their trail shoes in addition to my 3 pairs of Distance shoes.
Just curious. 🙂

loved them but I rolled my foot wearing them. I think they are not supportive enough or I needed to get a smaller size or tie them tighter. Just nervous about wearing them again.

Makes sense. Shoes with too much support cause me a lot of pain, which is probably why the Newtons suit me well. Thanks for answering!

Personally it seems to me you don’t have the right shoe at all. When I read your descriptions, none of them seems to be the perfect shoe for you. I would go to a running store and let them advice you. I did that when I started running and got Brooks Adrenaline and haven’t run in something else since then. I bought the first pair in a store and all the others online because I know the right size and the shoe always fits.

I should have mentioned that I faithfully go to a running store, Fleet Feet, to get fitted. The Brooks, Mizunos & Sauconys were even bought there. They always feel great in the store then…. who knows???

I have been wearing Mizuno wave inspires for the past 3-4 pairs. But I only wear one pair at a time to run in, then when they get old I use them for around the house, etc…
