The Bad News:
- You lose an hour of sleep on Saturday night March 8.
- It’s darker in the mornings. No running for me.
- As a result, it’s now colder in the mornings. Nope, not for me.
- Rock N Roll DC half starts at 8am on March 15. Brrrr.
The Good News:
- The Electric City 10k is March 8. (no lost sleep yet)
- It’s lighter after I get out of work so I can run anywhere (if the ice/snow ever melts).
- In the summer, it will be cooler in the mornings (so I can adapt to running in the heat.)

Since today is Tuesday, I’m linking up with Zenaida (The Running Teacher) and Jenn (Runs with Pugs).
and tomorrow:

I’m also linking up with: co-hosts Coach Debbie Runs, Confessions of a Mother Runner, Mile by Mile, and Runs with Pugs

This is a good reminder that the US will be changing their clocks this weekend! Europe always does it on the last weekend of the month (March / October) and South Africa doesn’t do it at all (imagine the chaos, ha!).
Have fun on your 10k this Saturday!

Thanks. Some states like Arizona don’t at all.

Okay, I’ll concede one point- it will make summer running a little cooler. I’m still going to complain this weekend though! (and all next week… and the week after…)

It’s just a little harder for me to wake up earlier in the dark, but I usually get my groove back. I’m making an effort to adjust myself before the weekend. I’ll be housesitting so it won’t be a huge deal.

I enjoy the peacefulness of the dark early mornings so I don’t mind it being dark again in the mornings. I love the light longer in the evenings for so many reasons!

once it gets warmer, I may venture out before work.

I am not a fan of DST. As a morning runner I know it will be dark now when I run before work. At least I started running with my dog so I do feel safe when I run early.

I don’t like the darker mornings! But for a few days my kids actually “sleep in” lol (even though I am more tired).

It is hard when it is dark and cold.
