I typically prefer to run after work, even with the time change. With my work schedule changing in two weeks, it’s a new quarter at the college I work at, my husband and I might be able to run in the morning. Maybe that will help with the lack of energy I sometimes have during recent night runs.

I started working out in the early morning back in the summer, and when the little one (6) started Kindergarten in the fall, I had to ensure that I was done and showered by 6:00 a.m. It took a few weeks, but I’m now pretty used to it. I get up at 4:00, out the door and on the road by 4:30, and usually back by 5:45. Yeah, it’s dark, but I have a headlight and use a blinking red “tail light” from my bike on the back of my waist pack.
It’s amazing what one can tolerate…if not get used to. Love your blog !

I have more trouble running after work than getting up earlier to get my run in. At first it’s difficult but after doing it for a while you get used to it. The best thing about it is that you got your workout in and your day hasn’t even really started yet.
