Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

This is my first team experience – I ran as part of the Albany Law School team ( made up of 2 professors, the male rugby team and many students).  We had special tee shirts made.

I went with my tennis friends Pat & Mary Pat (we have done several races together). After the start we went our separate ways but met at the end.

This was an emotional race.  I know several women personally who have died of breast cancer and currently have many close friends who have luckily survived this horrible disease.

This is a race I plan to run every year.

It was beautiful day – a little on the cold side but you quickly got warm once you started running – which was quite awhile.  At the beginning it was hard to move because of the number of racers and it probably had an effect on my time plus the fact that I tied my jacket around my waist and it kept coming loose.

So it wasn’t my best time but I had slacked off the last 3 weeks so I was happy with my 32:49 time.
