I would tell you that I feel guilty about not running enough with STEM. I love that group but I missed 4 Wednesdays in a row. For two, I was in Florida. Then I went out to dinner for one and ran with my Freihofer Training group for the other. So I only have one more left before their big race.

I would tell you that I am still mentally recovering from my half marathon. Every time someone asks, I have to retell the story. More than ever, I realize that I made the right decision to finish the race.

I’d tell you that I am looking forward to today’s 5k even though I know that my legs will not be able to run fast.
2011 was the last time that I trained for the race and I finished in 28:08. (2012 -post ankle surgery, 2013-broken foot, 2014-post VCM relay.)
Next year, I plan to skip the VCM relay and actually train for this race.

I would tell you that it is strange not to have a half marathon until September 24. I ran one in February, on in March, one in April and one in May…Will I cave and sign up for one in August??

I would tell you that I am hoping for great weather on the weekends (to go boating) and also that my hubby doesn’t divorce over my summer racing schedule…

I would tell you that I’d like to try SUPing on the lake this summer. I am nervous due to my lack of balance and bad ankle.
I also want to try kayaking.

I cannot wait to get out in my kayak! I’ve got to get some dates on the calendar with my friends. And I’m hoping to SUP this summer as well.

I think it is great you finished your half! I am sure it was tough.
Your racing schedule is something! I have a plan to run one before December, but I am waiting to sign up in case things don’t go well for me.

I hope you had a good 5k yesterday! I have never tried SUP but it looks fun. I have some holiday time booked for the end of the month, but we haven’t decided what to do with it yet, so currently we have no plans for summer really.

Darlene, what a great race schedule you have planned out. Such a wonderful summer ahead of you. SUP is amazing! You must try it. We take the kids out on the lake and do it, I have also done it in Maui and had a sea turtle swim underneath my board. No running plans on my list as of yet, but am hoping to slowly get back into it again this summer. Thanks for coffee
