Hmm…you may have me there, although I was hit by a car 20+ years ago while out on a run and it snapped my fibula in two (and torqued that knee). I didn’t break two, and had no surgery (they just aligned it and cast it), but I am running again. At the time it happened (November 1986), I was in a cast until about New Years Day, then was very gently running in February of 1987. By April I was able to run in a 5K.
You can do this…it will just take time (and effort of course…but you knew that ) 🙂

Hang in there. I just had shoulder surgery 2 months ago and was in the best shape of my life before. Now I have gained back some weight and cannot seem to get back at it! Stay strong don’t worry you will get back on track soon! Stay Positive! I am just now getting back into work and life after two months I won’t be able to get back to my old sefl till this June. I have PT twice a week for two hours at time it is painful but wonderful because it helps me become stronger each day. Hang in there you are not alone!

Sorry Darlene. Keep the faith! I am sure you will be back running. You were in great shape to begin with and that will make all the difference when you are ready to start running again. In the meantime, maybe you should learn to quilt? Or write a novel?

I used to quilt a lot but can’t cut or iron on crutches. A novel? Probably not…
