Whoa! Where did summer go?
I LOVE summer but here are a few things that I will enjoy this Fall:
Cooler and Less Humid Weather Conditions.
As I said, I normally love the sunshine and warm temps of summer. But this summer, the humidity and oppressive heat really tried my patience.
Hopefully, this Fall, my runs will be more comfortable and hence speedier.
Fall Foliage Viewing and More Hiking Activities.
Living in upstate New York, we are usually treated to gorgeous fall colors. Hopefully the awful DRY summer weather will not impact this.
The Fall is also for the same reason, my favorite season to hike in. Boating Sundays will end soon and be replaced by Hiking Sundays.
More Racing Ops.
Many more of the Fall races are now being held in-person, I have already signed up for quite a few.
A Race-cation with Friends.
Last year, I went to NH with my running friends and we had so much fun that this year, we rented a house again and plan to spend 4 days in Maine which will include running a race and other assorted shenanigans.
Pumpkin everything and Cider Donuts!
Yes, I do love Fall food!! Especially those with added sugar LOL
Happy Running! Are you looking forward to Fall? If so, what activities are on your bucket list?
Since it’s Tuesday, I’m joining the link-up organized by Zenaida and Kim (Kooky Runner)
I’m also linking up here:
Hiking is the best fall activity!
We also had an exceptionally dry summer here in Switzerland. The trees are really suffering, they are shedding their leaves way too early.
I hope you can catch some of those awesome autumn colours!

same… very dry though it’s been raining for 2 days now. I hope I get in some decent hiking.

This is a good bucket list! You live in a great area to appreciate the fall colors, and yes- cooler temps mean speedier races!

I also love summer but this one was really getting to me by the end (although we’re still not really done with summer quite yet here). When the humidity drops, it will feel a lot cooler. We’ve had quite a bit of rain so I think we’ll have some great autumn leaf colors. I can’t wait until Trader Joe’s releases their pumpkin-spiced foods!

I know… I was surprised that there were no pumpkin flavored food yet. I hope we do have a nice fall colors.

I am definitely looking forward to cooler running weather! As much as I love summer, I am always ready for fall once it arrives.

Cooler temps are nice. Less daylight hours is not. Wish I could have both.

Right now my bucket list is pretty simple — pray the aide will stay put and I won’t keep having to sleep on the couch. Which isn’t happening apparently. So the next thing is to hope that it won’t be in the 90s the next time I have to stay there a few days.

Sorry to hear the aide issues persist. You do get in some nice hikes.

Apple Cider donuts are probably one of the best things about Fall. There’s a diner in Stamford called Lakeside Diner and they are known for their warm apple cider donuts – so good!

We have an orchard nearby also known for their donuts. Yum.

You’ve got me so excited for fall! It’s my favorite time of year by far. I hope you have a great time on your Maine trip – I definitely need to make it back up that way, especially in the fall! And I almost forgot about apple cider donuts, my fave!

Those leaves and pumpkins! Swoon! I wish it was more fall here. Everything is just green and damp from rain. Blah.
