Four Somethings for May

January 2018 Share Foru Somethings #ShareFourSomethings

Thanks to Laurie from Meditations in Motion, I discovered a link up started by blogger Heather Gerwing. The fourth Saturday of each month, Heather invites other bloggers to share their “Four Somethings”: Something Loved, Something Said, Something Learned, Something Read. If you are a blogger, you may post your Four Somethings too!

1. Something Loved.

This one is pretty obvious if you follow me on FB or IG.

FLOWERS!!

Someone mentioned to me that the flowering trees were even more beautiful this year.  i’m not sure if that is true but because I am walking more and running slowly, I know I have noticed them more.

3. Something Treasured.

FRIENDSHIPS.

I love my friends. But this pandemic has made me realize how important they are in my life.

Sure, ZOOM is great but not the same as seeing them the flesh.

And of  course, sitting 6 feet apart is not the same and being be to give a hug or a high five.

We will return to normal. Just have to be patient.

3. Something Read.

Caught (Coben novel).jpg

My co-worker lent me a whole bunch of mysteries. Most were so-so but I really enjoyed this one. I have always meant to read a book by this author. This one had so many subplots and twists and turns. I can’t wait to read anther one of his mysteries.

4. Something Ahead.

I always look forward in the summer to running with my friends and boating on Lake George.

Both will happen though obviously not in the same way as past years.

But thankful for the health of my friends and family. Not complaining.

Since today is Tuesday, I’m linking up with Zenaida and Kim (Kooky Runner).

I’m also linking up here:

Formerly the Running Coaches’ Corner, it’s back with new co-hosts Coach Debbie RunsRunning on HappyConfessions of a Mother RunnerMile by MileRuns with Pugs, and Fauxrunner.

Happy Running! What are your somethings? Share at least ONE.

  1. Despite my allergies, I absolutely love flowers too. I can “stop and smell the roses” but I love all the different colors.

I agree with you about the Zoom calls – they are great, but I miss interacting with people in person.

  2. What a lovely list!
Every time I’m on a Zoom call, it reminds me that we’re not meeting in person and I could cry. As much as I appreciate Zoom, I hate it.
I’m looking forward to running with friends this summer, too!

    • Lucky you that Lloyd could make it. My hubby is not handy. I am much more than him. Though he can fix anything on a car, lawnmower etc. we save money there.

  3. I have really been loving all your flowers, too 😉 It’s great how much you’ve been walking…it’s crazy how much we can miss when we’re running. As much as I have enjoyed my weekly runs with Barb, I am really missing all the races! At least there’s no FOMO because no one else is racing either.

  4. I am loving all the flowers right now! Its definitely important to think about what we are looking forward to, even if its not really the same as before.

  5. I also miss my family, friends and coworkers. I miss my students too. Zoom and Google Meet/Hangouts is nice but definitely does not replace the real thing. I am thankful that my siblings and I are healthy.

Thank you for linking up with us!

  6. Oh, those flowers!

I don’t tend to like mysteries, but I do enjoy thrillers. Especially ones with really crazy plot twists. I love to be kept guessing.

It’s going to be an interesting summer, that’s for sure. I am hoping we will get some time with friends, and get to enjoy some of iit.
