With 30 half marathons and hundreds of shorter races, I certainly have quite a selection of race photos to choose from. Most of them have been pretty good because I ham it up when I see the photographer but when I don’t, anything can happen.
The Worst:
This was in March of 2013 on a hot day in Florida. It was my first half marathon after the year of the broken ankle and stress fracture. I did not train well and had not discovered my favorite Nike running shoes (so my foot hurt).
The Best:
Treasure Coast Half – March 2017
Eau Palm Beach Half – Dec 2015
Biggest Loser 5k – July 2013
None of the races above were particularly good ones but I was happy to be running as you can tell from my SMILE.

DYING at your worst picture – I swear, I’ve felt exactly like that many times during races. Your best shots are really fantastic…it’s very evident from them how much you love to run.

I smile even in pain when I see a photographer though.

Ha, I love the smile photos! It’s funny because I can feel like I’m dying but when I see the photographer, I paste that smile on too.

You have some great BEST race photos! Most of mine turn out 50/50 but I love the ones that show how happy I am to be running.

I’ve gotten better at putting on happy face for the race photographers but once in a while, they catch me in a bad moment…

What a great idea for a post! Many of my race photos could be my “worst”. I don’t know if I could narrow them down to just one. Maybe I should post them and ask for a vote! 🙂

That worst photo was pretty epic. LOL BUT I loved all your best photos! Even when I try to ham it up, it’s usually disastrous. 😀
