The topic for today is: Fall Activities
The NE is the prettiest place to live in the Fall (though I may be biased). So here are 5 of my favorite things to do around where I live:
1. Running
Obviously this is my favorite thing to do in all seasons. But it is even more enjoyable when it is not hot and humid and the leaves are changing colors.
2. Racing
Yes, this is running-related but I love to race in the fall because there are so many races to choose from each weekend. Every organization is trying to squeeze in a race before winter.
3. Hiking
The cooler weather makes hiking even more enjoyable. And then there are the pretty foliage to look at…
4. Eating
Cider donuts, homemade apple pies and pumpkin-everything… Need I say more?
5. Boating
It may not be warm enough to swim in the lake but it’s still beautiful. Love riding around, hanging out by a bonfire and grilling on one of the islands.
** 6. Apple Picking and Farm Activities
I must add these since they are the only ones specific for fall.
Happy Running! What are your favorite fall activities?
Well, it wasn’t warm enough to get in the lake even during the summer! It must be beautiful to be on a boat in the middle of it with all the foliage.
My activities don’t really change much from season to season.

I think it will be swimming weather this Sunday.
No apple picking or pumpkin baking???
You don’t hike or race in the winter!!!

But won’t the lake be cold?
Lloyd isn’t into apples but we do stop at the orchards when we visit my folks.
No, no hiking in winter. Unless it’s super mild!

The water wasn’t cold last weekend. Many people were swimming. We’ll see how hot I am.

I’ve never had a cider donut – wonder if they even exist here in Texas? Of course I want to try one, LOL!

I live in the NE too (PA), and I am so glad we get to experience all 4 seasons. I don’t think I have a favorite season. I love summer because I like the heat and I’m a teacher so I have off. I also like the holiday season, so I kind of like winter too. Fall seems very short to me, but maybe that’s because I start getting out the Christmas decorations in mid Nov!!!

I used to be a teacher and had the summers off but I did not run then. Boy do I wish I did.
They have Christmas decorations out here already!!! Boo!

We wanted to get a bigger boat this year and I was hoping to have it by fall so we could do some fall foliage cruises!
I of course prefer summer but I will admit that racing and running go so much better in the fall!
Have fun and thanks for linking up!

Me too. I love summer but yes, running is easier when it’s not so hot and humid.

When the kids were young, we’d always go to a pumpkin farm. I have yet to do the apple-picking-orchard experience…I know, #loser 😉

I like boating in the fall–the foliage is so pretty from that perspective. I also love fall running. I love crunching the leaves on the path. But I love running in all the seasons. The change of seasons is so awesome!

The northeast is pretty in the fall. I’ve been to CT and VT and am fascinated with the pretty colors. Oh, and the weather is great too!
