Since today is the first Saturday in October, I am joining up with Coco & Deborah for their ultimate coffee date.
And since it’s late evening, it would probably be more appropriate to be having a glass of wine…but maybe you’re having some decaf coffee or herbal tea:
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I have been working at my new job for over three weeks. I’ve met a nice woman ( a year older than me) who was hired a month before me. We have lunch together everyday. That’s the highlight of my day. I still feel unprepared, overwhelmed, unqualified, etc. But I will give it at least 6 months before I admit defeat.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I decided not to be a running buddy for the fall Girls on the Run program. I don’t have the time and I didn’t enjoy my involvement with the program the last 2 springs. I may give it one more try this spring.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I am glad that I re-joined the Turkey Trot training program. The women who participate are great and it will get me to do some (painful) drills once a week.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I started drinking coffee again. I had given it up so that I would sleep better. And I didn’t sleep any better. I still drink tea in the morning but it’s now caffeinated tea. And at work I either make my own coffee or go to Starbucks…and it’s caffeinated. I do LOVE coffee!!
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I skipped my long run last weekend and I skipped a run this week. And I am ok with it. It’s probably the first time I’ve done that so close to a half marathon. My half is next Sunday!!
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that even though I bought the new Apple Watch, I still wore my Garmin 205 to today’s race. I haven’t had the time to figure it out.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I love the fall colors but I miss the warm weather. I hate stressing about what to wear. I hate having to wear or bring extra clothes. And don’t get me started about the lack of daylight.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that this time of year makes me crave sweets. I love apple everything and pumpkin everything. Soon there will be Halloween candy … I need an intervention.
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that I can’t remember the last time I went to the gym to work out. Good thing I don’t pay for any gym membership. With working and going out every night for something, there’s no time. Yeah, I know I could get up early and go before work. (But if I did getup early, it would be to run.)
Over decaf coffee or herbal tea…
I’d tell you that my mother-in-law just turned 91! She’s very healthy but does nothing…just sits around… I hope to be very different at her age. Maybe I will still be running!!!
Since I did Runfess several things here, I am also linking up with Marcia’s Runfessions at Marcia’s Healthy Slice…
Happy Running! Anything to Runfess? Or tell me about something that’s going on in your life?
Lol I did laugh as I’m drinking my wine tonight. I hope your new job gets easier.
Good that you have a nice CO worker though.

Apple Cider and Fireball whiskey – sounds strange but tastes good. Sunday is my REST day.

Hang in there for your job. It usually takes a good 6 months to adjust. And you skipped a couple runs ? No big deal, you will do fine.

Thanks and I hope so.

I am with you on fall. I love the colors and even the tiny crispness in the air, but am definitely not looking forward to the cold and I really dislike running in the dark!

I just updated my phone to the latest iOS and I’m challenged enough with the new things…can’t imagine trying to figure out the Apple Watch quickly. It’ll come to you soon, I’m sure – but I would have worn my Garmin as well, LOL.

It’s coming along. I’m taking a class on it next Friday.

I love coffee and just don’t understand those folks who give it up. I only drink it in the morning and so sleep isn’t a problem for me!
It’s so hard to start a new job! I had considered changing jobs this summer, but the thought of starting something new was just not what I wanted to do. As it turns out, I’m glad I stayed put. Even though it’s crazy there.

I can’t believe I did. I feel so much better with a cup of joe.

I can’t give up my coffee. Nope. I miss having trick or treaters that I could take all the Mounds and Almond Joy from (nobody likes coconut but me!). With your running base, you’ll be fine at that half!

I am so with you on the pretty fall colors and apple everything! I made a billion apple desserts last weekend and am still working through them right now !:P
Best of luck to you on your half next weekend! :]

I too love all the fall and holiday desserts. I used to bake non-stop. If I still did that I wouldn’t fit out the door. I love fall but yeah, this darkness is the worst. Hang in there with your new job!

I hope I look that good when I am 91. But I hope to be more active than she is.
And yes, it’s nice to have someone to complain to…
