Last Week:
- Monday – I actually took a 15 min walk with a co-worker during the day.
After work, I took a run in the park. My legs were still tired from Saturday but the weather was nice so… I just dragged myself through it.
- Tuesday – Just a work day followed by tennis in the evening (and wine & pizza, of course)
- Wednesday – It appears that winter is back. The cold accompanied by 40 mph wind gusts. No walking outside at work besides back and forth between buildings. This was not a fun after work run but I survived. Afterward, I had dinner with two co-workers and that was fun.
- Thursday – Our 15 min walk in the morning has become a routine (2 days in a row) at work. Otherwise it was just work and hair appointment after work.
- Friday – Another normal work day (morning 15 min walk & afternoon walk to Starbucks). A quick run after work followed by an evening of mah jongg.
- Saturday – My rest day!! Errands, housework, cooking…fun, fun, NOT!
Then I went to an expo. Signed up for 2 5ks and 1 half. Saved $22, got 3 shirts and met a running friend. Now that was fun.
- Sunday – My last long run before the big one. I met Judy & Barbara on the bike path but actually only ran with Barbara (when she wasn’t too fast for me.)
Afterwards, the three of us went out for High Tea (tea sandwiches, scone & pastries).
The day ended with a Downton Abbey viewing Party.
19 miles done with 4 runs and 3 rest days.
This Week: (1 week until Half Marathon #18 – Taper Time )
- Monday – 3 mile run
- Tuesday – rest, tennis
- Wednesday – 3 mile run, yoga?
- Thursday – 3 mile run
- Friday – rest, mah jongg
- Saturday – rest
- Sunday – Celebrate Life Half Marathon
Once again, I am linking up for the Weekly Wrap hosted by Holly @ HoHoRuns and Tricia @ MissSippiPiddlin. See rules here.
Happy Running! How is your running going? Any races? How are you coping with winter weather?
I know Mary Jane planned to go to the expo too. I should’ve, but really just wanted to putter at home.
Actually I wanted to go see “Race” but we didn’t.

The expo was very crowded. I hope to see Race.

I love that you had high tea (after a long run!) on Downton Abbey day. I watched it last night, saddened to see it end (but I was happy with the episode).

I am so sad that it is over.

The high tea looks delicious! And the 15 minute morning walk sounds like a great way to start out the work day.

Nice job on your runs! I like your new running shoes! The weather around here in Philly has been crazy going between warm and super cold, but I think we’re finally getting spring weather!

How do you like the Nike shoes? I know you normally wear Mizuno’s, stability am I right? Curious. I’ve never ran in Nike before.

I love them. The wide soft toe box sold me.

These are Zoom Vomero 10 – try them. Everyone likes different brands and we all have different feet.

Spring is not here yet… but its not too far off. We had cold weather, rain and even a bit of snow in Paris last week. That meant I had to run on the treadmill. Yuck.
Pizza and wine sound good to me !

But I see warm weather in your future – Mexico…Florida…lucky you!

Spring has arrived here and tomorrow it is supposed to reach 78 degrees! I was so sad that Downton Abbey ended last night, but the finale was really good. It was nice that everyone seemed happy and in a good place.

I’ve been meaning to START watching Downton Abbey! Are you stalking the weather for your Sunday race yet? Mine is not looking the best. Can you believe I’ve never been to tea? I need to change that. Thanks for linking with us Darlene and good luck this weekend!

I’ve stopped stalking because it says “rain.” I am praying that they are wrong.
Hope we both have good weather.

New running shoes? YAY!!!! I am one of the few who has not watched Downton Abbey (but my husband does LOL). I have a 10K on Saturday, and the weather currently says 60% chance of rain…WHAT?????
